Myla's story
When Myla-Mae was rushed to the Emergency Department with unusual bruises on her body, doctors conducted a biopsy which found that her bone marrow was completely empty and she was diagnosed with a rare blood disorder called aplastic anaemia.
Here at Charity HQ we change children’s lives every day with your donations by creating a hospital built with children in mind. Our surroundings have a powerful effect on how we feel, and that’s especially important in a hospital.
Together we fund specialist medical equipment, clinical research trials which influence care globally, transform clinical walls and spaces with bright art, and provide ways and workshops to create distraction during anxious moments – such as before an operation, and to break up long stays on the wards. Donations, fundraising, sponsorship and everything in between help create a healthier future for children and young people who visit Sheffield Children’s, funding projects over and above the standard NHS provision.
